If I could talk to any animal in the world it would be a species of fish. Any kind of fish, a house fish, a shark, a dolphin or even a starfish; any animal that lives on water. I think it would be fascinating to talk to a shark to know what's on their mind or a dolphin and what it's like to be a dolphin. I would also be amazing to talk to a home fish, for example, if a fish was there during a crime scene it would be easier to figure out who is guilty because the fish would tell the person who is communicating with it. I've also always loved the water and wanting to know more about it by possibly studying Marine Biology.

I think school attendance should be mandatory. Well at least up to eighteen because for me education is life. Education can create a person for a better future and can contribute to society. For example, if you're a doctor you can help a person who is severally ill, a scientist can create a treatment for cancer or a teacher can teach those who are around him/ her.

If I could change two things about our school would be the bad reputation the media has given us and a new Theater. I would change our bad reputation if I could because the media has all it's attention on Castle Park. I strongly believe that all schools have their issues but they tend to aim towards us because we are a working class and do not have the power of hiding things from the media. Second, I would build a new theater. If any one has seen our theater our curtains are ripped and old, put lights are broken, our sound booth hardly works, our wings have holes in them and our light curtain has a huge rip in the right stage, our stage has holes in it and in facing the audience in the edge of the stage it has a hole also our carpets are smelly and covers in gum and our backstage is trashed. Our Theater needs a plethora amount of work and I hope the administration can recognize that and can help change it at least a little bit. I hope that they can see we've worked hard even through our conditions and that we deserve a amazing Theater. Because no matter how bad it is we still share our passion in the Drama Department.

The fist 15 minutes of my life in a movie would go like this: my character would jump out of bed as soon as her alarm clock rings. As she wakes up she turns on the water of the shower, when she does that she hurries into the shower. After that about five minutes of the movie have passed. I put on my cloths and do my makeup, the make up is soft, a bit of lotion then powder, some eyeliner on the waterline and a bit of maskera. After she is ready she walks down the hall and waits for her mother whom teaches at her school. When her brother Ricardo, mother and Karina are ready they hurry to the car. When they are in the front of the school Karina has a thrilling sensation in finding a parking spot in the front of the school. Her and her mother have a completion to see if they get a parking spot. The winner gets the satisfaction of winning. The movie is over.

A personal issue that concerns me are my social skills, inability of trying something new and my dyslexia. Usually when I talk to new people I close myself to become socially awkward. When I close myself from people I tend to come off as mean or unable to socialize. I only talk to people who are willing to talk to me. As I I get older I hope to developed social skills. Another issue I subconsciously do is always go back to the same routine over and over again. I know as a scientist this will be a issue I will overcome along with my dyslexia.

What I would be able to contribute to my college would be the opportunity of having a student who really does want to be there and ready to learn and. Not just occupying space. Also I could be a great tutor for those who need help. Lastly, if I become a well known Biologist the school will have a good reputation and will be relabel.

The way I intrepid the quote " He does not posses wealth; it posses him" is by the person who has wealth. Wealth can be divined in many different terms such as money, how successful someone is or the life style of someone. I think the quote says that he does not obtain how successful he is, his success determines his role in society or also he does not determines money, money controls his greed and wealth.

The music media, people from my neighborhood and my family always say " don't grow up to fast". This is true; well at least for my family. I think this is the best advice that has been given to me because both of my cousins got pregnant at 14and 15. That did not even finish middle school. All due to the need of growing up to fast. They both had children with older need for having the satisfaction of growing up of doing what adults do. This action took their poor innocents and youth and were forced to be mothers and to grow up. This applies to me because I do not want to repeat this action because I want to continue my education. Also this advice can apply to something as simple as not wanting to pay your own bills. Or as for adults to give their best advice to their children. Also as we grow up we would like to be younger and as we are young we want to be older.
Blog #9 Help a Senior Citizen
A new holiday I would establish is help a Senior Citizen. The holiday is pretty much self explanatory. This holiday is specifically aimed towards the younger generation, 15-55. The celebration will take place in your local community.for example, you go sign up them they will look you up and if you have a neighbor close to you, you will be held for that senior What will happen is the following: a young adult will sign up for the event, so they can have something to look forward to, after they have signed up the community will assign them to their senior citizen, after that the young adult will spend the day with the senior and can do activities such as cleaning their garden, taking them out to a local park, getting their groceries, ectera. Since a holiday has to be approved by the government this will have an accountability. It will be just like if you vote. It can also be counted by points, for example, if a person gains more than 1,000 that person will have a 20% discount of the payment of their house. Now, they could be exited for something and it can go in their record.

My perfect quote: " Science and art belong to the whole world, and before them vanish the barriers of nationality" - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
My interpretation of this quote is that Science and Art are universal and it has no bias effect on what you believe in. I believe that Science seeks the truth and Art is an expression of language reveling feelings. The imagination of Art and Science revels a person, it is endless regardless of faith of nationality. This quotes revels who I am because I am a fan and Art, my type of Art is the Theater. I know that Theater is a way to bring out emotion. Personally I put all my feeling on stage and that is what makes one a successful actor. All performers have a light, they just have to find it. The more feeling I evoke in my character the more I have to offer for my audience. If my character is an angry person I think back of all my angry emotions and involve them on stage. On stage I have to be my character, a completely different person from who I am. Acting isn't just reading lines off a script or memorize them it is providing detailed stage direction and distinguishing the character from myself. Acting is also a therapy for me, I can revel my feeling with out anyone knowing it is me. My next passion is Science, I find it an incredible subject to learn. I just think that chemicals and what life brings to us is all for a reason. I think Science help us revel the meaning with in ourselves ;"science can not solve the ultimate mysteries of nature... we ourselves are a part of the mystery that we are trying to solve". I believe the birth of science is the curiosity of humans, humans love to wonder about life and by that they find themselves.Knowing is not enough we must apply the theory. Science to me is like poetry, Scientist describe facts with describing images, Science help us discover the universe and the real reason of humans and their actions. Once someone discovers the beauty of Art and Science all other reasons vanish and they become bias towards their believes.

The new idea I would introduce to a primitive culture would be running water. I believe running water can help reduce diseases. Running water can also reduce time labor. For example, in some countries like Peru, Africa or some pueblos in Mexico adults or even kids have to walk miles and miles just go access fresh water. Not only does the labor exhaust the worker, but they also have to go though the trouble of cleaning and purifying the water. According to doctors, humans should drink at least 2 litters of water every day in order to keep a healthy life style but with out running water that is an impossible task for the primitive culture. Some counties or small pueblos have to wait until it rains in order to have contact of water and when they finally obtain it they have to saver it till the last drop. Water is the essence of life it comes in solid, liquid and gas and it can work wonders, whether it's showering in it, drinking it or even cooking with it every one should be able to have the luxury or clean, running water. Some consequences of not having running water can be Malaria,AIDS or even Parasites. These disease are caused by not having crisp, gratifying water that is why I think my idea of running water would be helpful to the primitive culture.

There I am sitting in my seat in the Theater Department, quite as a mouse, listening to the teacher rant about how Theater started out as a form of entertainment in Ancient Greek. When the teacher spoke out my name and demanded me to go on stage I was terrified. I didn't know what to do I was like a lost puppy. I did not know if I was a qualified actress all I could do now was give it my best. A minute felt like an eternity when I was on stage by myself. I was a bit confident because of my past experience before, but I never had to be in front of the whole class alone I was always with someone else. The teacher told me to relax yet I was shaking and I could feel my heart drop every time I heard a laughter or worse, a whisper. Finally my time was up and I waited a couple of seconds for the teacher to comment and I was shocked when she told me I was great. Later on that year I auditioned for a part for our school play Peter Pan, I was casted as a pirate and only had about 5 lines, but something was something. I felt amazing when I went to rehearsals better yet, Opening Night and finally have a chance to outshine myself. A year passed and I continued to act I had been casted as one of the subordinate characters in our play Arsenic and Old Lace. Opening night, I was waiting for that thrill and I was confident, I knew all my lines and knew how to precive my character. When I walked up stage and walked though the door of our set I felt like a actress in a old television show, people clapped and cheered when I was on. I never have felt so important in my life before. When I get on stage I feel I am undefeated against the world, I can honestly say I feel at home when I am in the Drama Department that is my safe place I can go to. I am truly grateful for getting over my fear of being on stage. they do say your hashest critic is yourself. I believe I affected change within myself and i also effected through other people because now my audience can be entertained when Iget on stage." He steps on stage and draws the sword of rhetoric, and when he is through, someone is lying wounded and thousands of the others are either angry or consoled"- Pete Hamill

If I were given one million dollars to help improve conditions around the world I would create a corporation that helps third world countries find their natural resources and learn how to perceive them, also knowing this skill will engage them to trade with rich powerful countries in order to exchange theses natural resources for service and aid. The first third world country I would donate the money to would be Africa. The reason Africa would be the first to receive the money is because they have the most natural resources and they are one of the poorest countries that live in poverty and horror;which is controversial and somewhat paradoxical. My program would allow the men in Africa to learn a skill of merchant trading and finding natural resources. Women will be tough to grow crops in their garden and make living conditions easier in order for it not to become a domestic labor work field. The children will be able to continue to go to school while their parent or guardian goes to work so it will not become child labor. The men in Africa will be able to go to training for the working condition task they will need to develop. After they gather their resources they will be able to create a contact with other countries that includes the following: in exchange for their oil and other resources the other country will give aid and supplies that will go towards schools and improve housing projects.

If I would to go back in history I would love to be Shakespeare. He is the God of Theater. I would like to be him because we both share our passion in theater. I lionize his work of art and his play writes, poems, and performances. He has amazing literature and he uses it in a witty way. "Better a witty fool than a foolish wit". What makes him so amazing and idolizing to me is that he wrote his plays in sonnets formation only; he also wrote historical pieces that we still study today. His legend will live on forever. At least in my book it will.

The things I learn in the classroom are so interesting to me. For example, if I learn vocabulary I would try to furnish it into my everyday diction; I love to insult my brothers with highly academic words that they don't know. I try to connect what I have learned to the world and society around us and how it is affecting us. In Theater Production we often do plays incorporating English Literature or about history, plays like Anne Frank, Spoon River, The Glass Managery, Arsenic and Old Lace and The Laramie Project. I learn plenty of things form these plays form Old English to the Yellow Fever of WWll and I hope our audience also take the educational material that we have provided them with.

In this society there is both healthy and unhealthy competition. The healthy competition can be between stores like Walmart and Target. They try to compete on who has the better prices and at the end of the day it benefits the customer and they get the better deal and the stores get more customers hence more money for the company. The unhealthy competition can be among sports teams themselves. For example, on the track team can be who has the faster runner or theater on who gets the spotlight or the part in the play. A experience that I experienced was while I was a cheerleader here at Castle Park High. One of my good friends has been in cheer ever since she was eight years old and she was in JV while other girls were in Varsity. One day I was at her house and I decided to go to Facebook and on my Newsfeed I see a Varsity Cheerleader write and letter saying horrible things about Junior Varsity. Other Varsity girls commented on the status and also said horrible things about the team especially at my friend. They were saying how she was "gumpy" and she did not know how to Cheer and how she thought she was Varsity material. I known this girl for sometime and not once have I seen her boast about how much better she is than other girls she was, not once has she said she was Varsity material. Up to this date I still don't know why they were cyberbullying her if she wouldn't hurt a fly. Were they seeing her as competition? Did they think she was stealing THEIR spot light? Or was it just plain entertainment for the other girls to see Junior Varsity go down on the "social scale"?

Blind man: "Karina can you please describe me the color of red?"
Karina: "Red in the sense of hearing, is the sensual music you hear when you go to a jazz bar. The taste of red is the tomato sauce you put in you spaghetti when you eat your dish. The luscious flavor when you bite a juicy strawberry or watermelon. Red is the smell of freshly baked cheery pie your mom makes during Christmas. The burning sensation you feel when you touch a hot stove, that's what red feels like. Red is the color of love, passionate intense feeling. Red is the color people use when they celebrate Valentines day, the red roses, the passionate color of love representing the heart and attraction feeling towards one another. Red is also the meaning of desire of wanting something amorous. Blood is the color of red, the liquid that comes out of your body when you get a severe cut and the smell of iron when you're bleeding."
